The gospel is the center of our classrooms, where we plant seeds of theology and identity that we pray take root and shape beliefs and behaviors as children of the King.
Because a lifelong relationship with Jesus involves interacting with him directly, we regularly facilitate times of prayer and listening.
We desire to instill in kids a heart to love their neighbor, learning about genuine friendship where we're quick to sacrifice for others, celebrate diversity, and show empathy as Jesus does.
We partner with parents and caregivers as the primary disciplers of their children, in order to equip, encourage, and energize those efforts toward living out Deuteronomy 6 in homes.
We are adjusting our family attendance, checkin, and classroom procedures to comply with CDC guidelines related to COVID-19. You can read our current protocols and sick policy by clicking the button below. Due to so many unknowns still surrounding the virus, we ask for your patience and grace with us as we will likely need to shift our plans in the coming weeks and months to continue being responsive, flexible, and safe.

We’re so excited for you to join us on Sunday, and we can’t wait to meet you! For more information on what to expect, including check-in procedures , Midtown families can read the RedeemerKIDS Parent Handbook, and Johnson County families can watch this video.
We have put policies and systems in place to “build a fence” that protects children in our care from people with ill-intentions. The screening and application process to become a RedeemerKIDS volunteer is lengthy and in-depth on purpose. We want to deter predators by being clear upfront about these policies and systems, while also creating a culture of awareness and accountability amongst our volunteers. The following is a list of all measures in place to protect children in RedeemerKIDS:
We want anyone who has experienced abuse to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of both children and adults in our body. We hope that our awareness and vision creates an environment where survivors feel seen and safe.
RedeemerKIDS believes that God created us all uniquely in his image with an amazing purpose in mind. Our desire is for all children to learn about Jesus Christ in a loving, safe, and accommodating environment. Our special needs ministry, RedeemerKIDS Duos, seeks to remove unnecessary barriers and create deeper inclusion by providing a child with an intentional and consistent one-on-one Duo in the classroom. We feel that having a Duo can benefit any child who would thrive with more support due to a special needs diagnosis, behavioral challenges, or trauma. If your child would benefit from a consistent one-on-one Duo in their classroom, please fill out the Midtown Parent Interest Form or Johnson County Parent Interest Form, and our staff team will follow up with you.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Duo to support families with special needs at Redeemer, we’d love for you to join our team! You can take the next step by filling out the Midtown Duo Application or Johnson County Duo Application.
RedeemerKIDS Duos has not yet launched at our Independence congregation.
Our preschool and elementary classrooms use The Gospel Project curriculum from LifeWay, which goes through the entire Bible over the course of three years. We increase our focus on small group discussion in our upper elementary classrooms, to prepare kids for the transition to Redeemer Students in sixth grade. Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up with where we are in The Gospel Project from home! We post curriculum and family worship resources on Instagram and Facebook weekly for families who are engaging with Sunday Services online or not yet checking children into RedeemerKIDS.
Each week, our volunteer team invests in children and families by teaching, leading, and caring for children across our congregations. We would love for you to join us as we model what it means to be spiritually transformed by truth, prayer, friendship, and family! We have Sunday serving opportunities, as well as midweek support roles. You can get in touch with your congregational team below to learn more about getting involved in our ministry.
