Buried with Christ in baptism, raised to walk in newness of life.
Baptism is a beautiful illustration of the spiritual death and resurrection of the believer who has died to their sin and been resurrected to new life through their faith in Jesus Christ. It is also an opportunity for the believer to make a public profession of his or her faith in Christ, through which both personal and community benefits are received.
Our view from Scripture is that baptism should occur when a person makes a credible profession of faith in Christ as their Savior (Matthew 28:18-19). If you are considering being baptized as a public profession of your faith in Jesus, we would love to hear from you to help you take your next step! Even if you do not call yourself a Christian, we would still love to answer any questions you may have and help you explore what it could mean to trust Jesus.
We hold Baptism Sundays 2-3 times a year. Before each Baptism at Redeemer Midtown, we will host a Baptism Class where you can learn more, speak with a pastor and indicate your desire to be baptized. To attend our next Baptism Class at Redeemer Midtown, keep an eye on our Events page.
If you're being baptized at Redeemer Johnson County, email Andrew Brantley to set up a time to meet with one of our pastors.
